As part of our on ongoing commitment to provide the best eye care to the local people of Sileby, we are closing our local practice for refurbishment and upgrading.
Over the next 4 weeks, we will be modernising the reception and treatment rooms, as well as investing in new technology. Customers will soon be able to receive the latest in eye care in a modern purpose-built environment. The new layout inside will make better use of the space with dedicated areas for selecting frames and private areas for dispensing. We even have a dedicated area just for dispensing contact lenses. With improved lighting throughout the building and a larger easy accessible reception area, the new practice will make it easier for you to receive the personal service Opticare is renowned for.
A major part of our investment is a brand new OCT scanner which will be accessible to all our patients in Sileby and the surrounding areas, as well as serving our patients from the Anstey and Birstall practices. The OCT scanner takes 3D images of the retina at the back of your eye, allowing our trained optometrists to see potential complications earlier, leading to a greater chance of recovery. It’s like an MRI scan for your eyes.
The new building will better serve our staff and customers in making sure you receive the best eye care possible, right on your doorstep. And don’t worry about pricing, as customers will still receive the same great value as pricing is set the same across all our stores.
The new practice, when it opens will be wheelchair friendly with wider doors and passageways as well as ramps for better access.
In January when the store re-opens we plan to hold an open day, so keep visiting our website to find out closer to the time.
