In August this year, it will be our 30th year in business. To celebrate this, we have lots of competitions and promotions currently being organised, but 1 of the most important is to thank our local community.
For this reason, we have decided to donate £1 from every pair of glasses we sell in July to local charity. We hope to raise over £1,000 for charity and with your continued support, we should be able to achieve this.
To track our progress we will be putting a totaliser on our website, where you can see the progress every day, as we try and raise as much money as possible for our community.
As we are based in Newark, Birstall, Anstey & Sileby, the local community around our practices are important to us. Based centrally within these communities we know many of you by name and provide a very local service that the large corporations just cannot compete with. After being part of the community for 30 years, we are hoping to make a difference in the community through our charity raising efforts.
As we are based in both Newark and Leicester, we have chosen 2 local charities close to our hearts. Beaumond House and Loros Hospice.
Beamond House Hospice Care provides supportive palliative care to patients with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. They have been supporting their patients and families since 1987. As a registered charity, all care is provided at no cost and so fundraising is critical to their continuing success. They support over 500 patients and their families every year.
Loros Hospice Care
Based in Leicester, LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year cares for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. They provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers.
You can follow our progress during July on our website, and let’s raise some money to make a difference to other people’s lives.
