As an essential health provider, we will be continuing to offer routine eye examinations and other eye care services. Due to Tier 4 status of both Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire, we will be adhering to a number of precautions for your safety, and the safety of our team.
Please familiarise yourself with this guidance (below) before coming in for your appointment.
We’d like to thank you for your patience with us during this difficult time, and commend the hard work of our team to carry on meeting our patients’ needs.
Due to the preparations necessary to ensure your safety, we will not be able to accept ‘drop-in’ patients without an appointment. Online bookings are not available for the time being.
To minimise numbers in the practice and to maintain social distancing, we ask you come alone to your appointment, unless a carer is required – please ask for further information at the time of booking.
We have implemented social distancing measures, and all optometrists and staff will be wearing the appropriate PPE.
This gives us enough time to clean and sanitise the practice and equipment, whilst minimising contact between patients – so you may arrive and leave safely.
Please note, we will be checking your temperature when you arrive in store. We politely request that you attend wearing a face mask/covering.
If you or someone in your home has a persistent cough, a high temperature or loss/change to your sense of smell or taste, please do not make an appointment with us and instead call 111 for advice.
All of our optometrists have recently been certified in ‘Infection Control and Prevention’ by the Association of Optometrists. In line with that guidance, we have disinfection and hygiene procedures within the practices.
We have gone almost gone paperless in-practice, instead opting to email receipts This reduces unnecessary contact to help keep you and our staff safer, as well as reducing waste as part of our “going green” initiative.
Due to these precautions – with less people in the practices and less appointments available, we’re assessing the needs of each booking on a case-by-case basis.
