Face to face Optometrist consultations during the lockdown

With the ongoing nationwide lockdown, while we’re all doing our best to limiting the spread of Coronavirus, our practices are temporarily closed until further notice. We are able to open for the occasional eye-health emergency or if a key worker quickly requires an appointment, but we wanted to offer our OptiPlan customers a chance to still see their optometrist.

Live Video Consultations

We’re happy to announce that as part of our efforts adapt to the new circumstances, we’re able to offer video consultations – for free – to all OptiPlan customers.

Obviously, there’s only so much we can do remotely and without our equipment. However, we’re happy to discuss any problems you may be having with your eyes, and offer advice for the best solution, and point you in the right direction should immediate treatment be necessary.

What do I need?

All you’ll need is a computer with a webcam and microphone, both of which are widely included with most laptops – if you’re not sure, check to see if your laptop has small circular lens just above the screen.

What about Tablets and Smart Phones?

We’re sorry but at the moment, our video software doesn’t work very well on these devices. This will be updated to include these devices soon.
