After going paperless and completely digital last year, we needed to rethink and re-arrange our front-of-house area to accommodate the new way of serving customers. It had also been about 15 years since our last complete refurbishment, so it seemed like the right time for a refresh.
After feedback from the team and patients, we closed the practice for nearly two weeks in spring, with thankfully little disruption to critical and emergency appointments.
We are dedicated to making continual improvements to customer and patient care, with our award-winning personal approach. Sometimes that means bringing in the latest technology, sometimes it’s expanding our range of options available, and other times it means adopting new training or strategies for the team. This refurbishment put our valued patients’ needs at the forefront, having been lovingly re-designed to ensure your visit is always as smooth as possible.
After re-opening on Saturday 7th May, we started getting compliments on the eye-catching new colour scheme, which was a big hit with returning patients. Our new look is certainly one of the most striking changes we’ve ever undertaken – there’s brand-new flooring throughout, plus more shelving and displays to showcase our range of designer frames in the browsing area. The new design has allowed us to generally make better use of the space we had available, which has created a roomier and more comfortable waiting area with additional seating for patients.

For the team, we’ve made some general quality of life improvements. There is now more desk space for the improved computer systems and new paperless technology we’ve introduced in the practice. The new use of space also makes it easier for our Optical Assistants to show you our wider variety of frames available – on your next visit you might even discover a new favourite brand of glasses or sunglasses!
