Audra retires from Opticare after 36 years of exemplary service

We’d personally like to say thank you to Audra, who recently retired after 36 years of dedicated service. Over that time Audra has helped shape, develop and grow Opticare Opticians into the first-class, friendly local opticians our patients love.

Audra first started working with our Directors at Rayners in Grantham in 1986. Her first role was as an optical assistant, working with Paresh Patel and Shaishav Shah. Her professional attitude, dedication and wonderful attitude made a great impression on them both, and she moved with them in February 1989 to work at Opticare. At first, she began as a dispensing assistant, but was soon promoted to manager in May 1989 and then General manager in 1993 following the expansion of the business.

Over the years Audra has been with us, Opticare has grown with her help from a single high street optician to a small group of family-run community practices. Her commitment to delivering the best possible service to our patients and staff has been fundamental in the success of Opticare. Concentrating on family values and community service she brought a relaxing friendly ambience to all the practices she worked within. Her loyalty to the company and her colleagues was exemplary. Well respected by staff and patients alike, she leaves on a high.
