We are re-opening Wednesday 13th May

Given the news that the UK is now past the peak number of Coronavirus cases, we are cautiously re-opening our branches for essential appointments, from the 13th May, Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm.

We are initially only seeing patients in practice for essential or urgent eye care. This includes, but is not limited to; broken glasses, examinations for key workers and sudden onset eye symptoms. Less urgent services such as routine eye tests are unlikely to be available.

For your safety and ours, there are a number of precautions we are putting in place.

Please call ahead to make an appointment before coming in

Due to the preparations necessary to guarantee your safety, we will not be able to accept ‘drop-in’ patients without an appointment. Online bookings won’t be available until we are able to offer the full range of services.

To minimise numbers in the practice and to maintain social distancing, we ask you come alone to your appointment, unless a carer is required – please ask for further information at the time of booking

Appointments (usually 30 minutes) will be offered in 1 hour blocks

This gives us enough time to clean and sanitise the practice and equipment, whilst minimising contact between patients – so you may arrive and leave safely.

We will be adhering to social distancing and hygiene measures

We will be implementing social distancing measures and operating with minimal staff, all of who will be wearing the correct PPE. We will also be adhering to stringent disinfection and hygiene procedures within the practices.

Due to these precautions – with less people in the practices and less appointments available, we’re assessing the needs of each booking on a case-by-case basis. We apologise if we are unable to take your booking at your convenience.
