Welcome To Our Loughborough Opticians, Based In Sileby

The latest addition to the Opticare family is our newly refurbished opticians in Sileby, Loughborough.

Last year an opportunity arose to acquire an existing optician in Sileby, due to the retirement of the existing owner. Sileby near Loughborough was a great location for us as it fits perfectly in between our Leicester branches in Anstey, & Birstall and our Newark branch in Nottinghamshire.

As we already run several successful branches in villages, we already know and understand what the local community want and need from a local optician and we love being part of a local community.

After an in-depth refit in 2018, the practice was ready to open in the following January. We undertook a complete refit to bring the practice and building into the 21st century. We brought in new technology, created more space for customers and finished a complete redecoration, inside and out.

We’re pleased to say that the feedback from the locals and existing customers has been positive. With lots of “thank you’s” and “well done’s”. The new practice is now more open and airy for a better customer experience. It’s smarter and modern but has not lost the community feel.

We have also invested in new products at the Loughborough practice. We have a brand new selection of frames from famous names, as well as more choices in lenses. Patients also now have access to a 3D OCT scanner in our neighbouring branch at Birstall.

More recently we have partnered with Sileby Cricket Club to provide both Junior and Senior teams with access to free eyecare. This is a 3 year partnership and so far it’s been working great for ourselves and members of the Cricket Club.

We have also invested in solar panels at the Loughborough practice. These now help power the office and our equipment, which is better for the environment and the community.

There is a full complement of services at Sileby, Loughborough. These include retinal photography, visual field screening, dyslexia screening and glaucoma screening. We also have a state of the art Visioffice machine which can measure the eye and produce bespoke lenses.

Our opening times in Sileby,  Loughborough are:

Mon-Fri: 9:00am – 5:30pm
Closed for lunch: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Sat: 9:00am – 4:30pm
Sun: Closed
