In October, we were featured in a national optometry magazine. It was a privilege to be asked and great recognition for our business.
Along with 2 other UK based family businesses we were asked to give our views on the role of education in keeping family businesses relevant. It’s great to get the recognition within the industry into the hard work we put into training and developing within our businesses in Leicester, Loughborough and Newark.
The magazine Optometry Today has a circulation of over 15,000 and is read by optometrists, dispensing opticians and the wider profession. It is the market-leading magazine for optical professionals in the UK and is the official journal of the AOP.
Our Directors Shaimil Shah & Shaishav Shah were interviewed and photographed for the magazine. With them giving their views on how education, training and working in a family business has developed over time.
The article touched on some core values that we practice here within Opticare. The value of communication and honesty with customers and the love of meeting new people and helping them.
To complete the feature, a photograph of Shaimil & Shaishav was chosen for the cover of the magazine.
